Synopsis:
Tania (Dian Sastrowardoyo) is a successful career woman who doesn't forget her duties as a wife, mother to her child, and daughter to her mother. She tries her best to fulfill all her responsibilities amidst her heavy workload at the company. She's a top performer at her office and has caught the attention of her boss.
Tyo (Lukman Sardi), Tania's husband, is also very busy. He's a director who spends a lot of time on film sets. Tyo rarely comes home, especially when his films are nearing their deadlines. However, this doesn't affect their harmony.
Suddenly, Tyo collapses on set and has to be hospitalized. Tania has no choice but to stay with him and take care of him, even though she has big responsibilities at work. Her busy schedule makes her sick with typhoid fever. They end up in the same hospital room so the doctor can easily monitor them.
They use this time together to talk and share their thoughts. They've been so busy with their own work that they haven't had deep conversations. But this doesn't last long, and conflicts start to arise.
Tyo and Tania are told to rest completely. But Tania feels that Tyo should be the one resting completely. If Tyo doesn't get better, she can't go back to her normal life. However, Tyo thinks this is unfair because Tania is still pushing herself to work. The conflict worsens when jealousy arises as a third party enters each of their lives.
Will their relationship be okay?
Review:
7/24 tells a meaningful story in a unique way. It shows that arguments are sometimes needed in a relationship. When things seem calm and safe, it might mean that we don't really know our partners. Setting the story in one place is a challenge, but they keep it interesting.
The story is well-structured and easy to follow. The characters' backgrounds are well-developed, their personalities are clear, and the comedy isn't overdone. The music, cinematography, color scheme, and composition are all great.
The actors are very good. Even though Dian and Lukman are used to serious films, they handle the comedy in this movie well. The story is developed well, and the characters' emotions are conveyed well, so the audience can feel what each character is going through.
If you like romantic comedies, this movie is a good choice. The message
of the film makes it suitable for watching with your partner and family.
Overall, it's a very well-made movie.
Memorable Scene:
Tania is sad after fighting with Tyo and starts questioning her marriage and her decision to marry Tyo. Her mother comes and gives her the advice and support she needs.
This scene shows that every marriage has its ups and downs. But it's
the choices we make that determine where the relationship goes. Don't let
regrets take over your life.
Memorable Dialogue:
"I Never Thought You'd be able to hurt my feelings just in seven days by 24 hours"
Ending:
Happy Ending
