Review:

“Get away from this town before it's too late."

Uzumaki is an animated series adapted from the horror manga, Junji Ito. This animation has received a lot of mixed responses, although many are also disappointed with the animation quality produced. Difficulties arise when the production of this animation is hampered by Covid-19 conditions. So it inevitably affects the image quality presented.

The animation is presented in black and white like previous animations. However, it can be said that it is presented quite well. Although perhaps compared to the quality of animation lately, this animation does look quite lacking. It is natural if some viewers feel disappointed because it does not meet the expected expectations.

In terms of the story, it is presented very well and systematically. Viewers will not be able to guess the storyline in each episode. Even though it presents a different story, the main story idea does not become ambiguous. The ending of this series is more of a Cliffhanger Ending. However, the ending still provides an easy-to-understand conclusion about everything that happened from the first episode to the end.

Overall, this animation is suitable for you fans of Junji Ito and horror.
