30 Days Challenge to Known Yourself- Day 22: Describe the word "family" according to you

Day 22: Describe the word "family" according to you

Everyone has a family, right? So what is the true meaning of family?

According to Google, Family is a group of people who are connected and live together, bound by blood ties, marriage, or adoption. Family is the smallest social unit in society.  Well, that's what it says. So what is the meaning of family to me?

In my opinion, the definition of family goes beyond blood ties.  It can be anyone who genuinely cares for us and provides that sense of belonging, even if they're not related to us by blood.  Although for that, it might be difficult to find.

Family is where we return. It seems a little poetic and romantic, doesn't it? The meaning of the place to return is where we should be able to let go of all the masks that we might use when we're out there. A place where we can honestly express our opinions, feelings, and everything that's inside us. It's a place of comfort, acceptance, and support, where we can be our true selves without judgment.  It's a place where we can feel safe to grow and evolve. A place that will give us encouragement when we fall and laugh together when we are happy.

That's the definition of family that I think is ideal. But not all families are ideal. We can't force our families to meet the standards we have. It's important to appreciate the unique dynamics of our own families and to focus on the positive aspects. We can't compare our families to others. Because what we see on the surface may not be the same as what is hidden. Because we only see a glimpse of their lives

The point is, whatever form your family is, keep being grateful. Because what you receive now is God's way of making you a good servant. We should always be grateful for the family we have, and if we see areas for improvement, we should strive to create a better family dynamic for ourselves in the future.

What do you think?
