Today is a day for gratitude. My friend 'Y' sent me a cheesecake as my birthday cake. I was so surprised when a courier called me outside. I didn't remember buying anything. In the end, it was her who sent me the cake.
I don't know what I should do when someone shows me such kindness. I don't think I'm a good friend. Sometimes I forget their birthdays or am not always there when they need me. Sometimes maybe I can be annoying too, but they're still kind to me. I cried.
Honestly, a few days ago, on my birthday, I really wanted to buy a cheesecake, but I resisted the urge. Today, I went out and thought about buying a cake, but I resisted again. And then, suddenly, my friend sent me the cake that I wanted without telling me. It's like God heard me and sent it to me through my friend. Masha Allah.
Actually, I woke up feeling a little exhausted, like all my energy was drained, but I decided to go out. I wanted to buy lontong sayur. Besides that, I also bought fried chicken for lunch and a few snacks from the mini-mart.
I forgot, I have a story about when I wanted to buy Lontong Sayur. The owner knows me as someone who always buys the complete package, which costs around 13,000 rupiah. Today, she asked me to give her the exact amount, but I didn't have it.
I only had 11,000 rupiah. She said I could pay it later, but I didn't want to. I chose to buy the 11,000 rupiah version because we never know when we'll die, right? I don't want to owe anything to anybody; it would make it difficult for me to go to the afterlife.
My activities: writing an article. Just that, hahaha.
