Hello
love,
Do
you know the game I usually play? It's a shooting game with individual and team
tasks. The team tasks have given me some interesting insights.
When
paired with someone, there are two possible outcomes: win or lose. We're
usually paired with players who have weapons of a similar level, but that
doesn't guarantee victory. We need
partners with similar skill levels; a great weapon is wasted in unskilled
hands.
When
I have an unskilled partner, it can be frustrating. I often end up carrying the
team to victory. They contribute, but
not significantly.
In
short, here’s my analogy, drawn from my shooting game experience: The teamwork
and strategic thinking needed to win a team-based game perfectly mirror the
dynamics of a successful relationship. My mind is so random!
Having
a partner who shares your values, goals, and vision for the relationship is
crucial for long-term success. Just as
mismatched skills and strategies in a game lead to frustration and defeat,
mismatched expectations or views on commitment in a relationship cause similar
problems.
Finding
a compatible partner—someone who shares your life goals, communication style,
and understanding of what a relationship should be—is like finding the perfect
team. It significantly increases the chances of a lasting and fulfilling
partnership. It's not just about individual strengths, but the synergy and
collaborative effort.
Do
you agree?
By
the way, I cooked noodles (again!) for breakfast this morning. Yes, I know, I'm in a rut! I just didn't know what I wanted. I have so
many noodles in my cupboard! Haha. But I had rice and chicken for lunch and
dinner, so I think it's okay.
I'm
learning Japanese from a course on edX. I've been enrolled for a while, but the
access is time-limited, and that limit is approaching. So, I'm trying to learn as quickly as
possible. I know I won't master it in one go, and I want to focus on my English
and Mandarin first. But there's no harm in trying.
I
wrote an article about the movie M3GAN. Have you seen it? Please read my review on my other post.
That's
all for today. See you if there is tomorrow.
